2 Odd Reasons Why You’re STUCK in Your Guitar Progress

If you’re feeling stuck in your guitar progress, I get it… It sucks.

You might have practiced the guitar for several years but haven’t seen the results you want…

…and there’s nothing more discouraging than that feeling.

How do we fix this?

Well, first we have to understand WHY you’re getting stuck.

There could be many reasons but here are 2 of the most common ones:

  1. You’re not getting more familiar with music theory.
  2. You’re not training your ear

See, a lot of the time when you’re feeling stuck you’re probably just trying to learn songs by memorizing tabs.

There’s nothing wrong with that.

But trust me when I say that, it gets old…

…because you’re not learning anything new.

And by natural cause and effect, this leads you to get stuck.

That’s what happened to me when I quit the guitar for almost a year…

I felt uninspired to play.

I didn’t feel like a true musician.

I would just memorize songs with a random tab I found on the internet.

Leaving me with a bit of a sour feeling after learning a song.

Once I started arranging my own versions of the music I love…

I got this new enthusiasm for the guitar and finally felt like I was progressing…

If you start arranging your own songs and sharpen your ear…

Then you’ll be able to get unstuck and start playing freely across the fretboard.
